NEW! CAMERA!

well my mum almost hyperventilated when she found out how much it was, but technically i stayed within budget for the camera; the memory card, on the other hand..

so today i took the liberty of settling down on my bed with the manual and testing out all its capabilities on my sister, the only person at home, the only person gullible enough to fall for the "hey do you want to use my computer? (so i can take photos of you ALL DAY LONG!)" trick. testing out the in-built flash was the last straw though, and she fled out of my room with blinding flashes in hot pursuit! the most paparazzi-like experience she'll ever know. sigh.. *looks at nikon d70 fondly*

oh mel, you were right. the flashing black things were supposed to indicate to me where the highlights of the picture are :)

of course i will be naming my camera. all ideas will be much appreciated :) i'm thinking of lucy, affectionately shortened to "lu", also because i can say "i love lucy!" at regular intervals and be smug at the clever pun i've just made. hooray hooray!
