I LOVE BANANA PANCAKES!

i love naming things. when i was six and my mum was very pregnant indeed, i wanted to name my coming-soon-sister Cinderella. my parents said no, a cold, hard rejection for a six-year old who was still trying to come to terms with the fact that she would never be a cat, and thus all her days of making her parents put her food down on the floor on a dish so she could eat like her cat ate was for nothing. but as much as i would love to have a sister called Cinderella, i really dont think it was a very practical idea after all. i mean, that would totally kill my chances of ever meeting prince charming (eric, aladdin, phillip or the guy in snow white whose name nobody really knows), because as soon as he knows my sister is called Cinderella, well, a girl who pretends to be a cat becomes pretty unappealing. also, whenever my parents introduce us they'll be like "Oh these are our daughters, Cinderella and-" "WHAT? YOUR NAME IS CINDERELLA? THAT'S SO COOL! BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH!" and i'll be shunted to the side somewhere. sadness.

i also wanted to call my sister Robin, because it can be a boy name or a girl name, how cool is that? also, i kind of had a crush on the Robin Hood, the animated fox one in Disney's Robin Hood. i argued this point with my parents but they weren't very impressed because they already knew that the baby was going to be a girl, and they were serious grown-ups who didnt see that having a sister named after Disney's Robin Hood would considerably improve my playground status.

i like my name alot. cinderella would have been nice though.
