Bali photos and misc.

I just did a read-through of blogs that i frequent and i suddenly feel so proud of everyone. We have our own websites! We're just like Microsoft! Albeit without the billionaire part and trademark logo. Well, on second thought, Steven Lim (or is it Tan? anyway, i'm referring to the eyebrow plucker) has his own website too. I suppose all websites are created equal and then advance or degenerate to their respective degrees, and so on.

I have begun a painting, at first terribly excited about the possibilities of experimentation with colours and textures. Alas! Now it is very unlovely and i will have to wait for the paint to dry before i can paint over it. Until that distant relief arrives, I am stuck looking at this monstrosity.

The world is way too big. This is all very well when you are embarking on a trip to an unvisited land, or else eloping with the remains of your sanity to a cooler climate, but otherwise there are too many places where people can migrate to, or live in. At any one time I am missing a considerable amount of people. The invention of the teleporter couldn't come too soon.

I managed to catch Contact this morning on HBO! (It made me think about the lottery factor whereby you end up watching the same movie again by chance every few years or so.) It is one of my favourite movies, I think. It is so hopeful.
