(dreaming, et cetera, of your smile eyes knees and of your Etcetera)

yay i have a new eraser!!!!! yes. that is the most exciting thing that has happened to me today. oh, also i finished the design for the arts shirt, and delian and i were trudging through poem after poem looking for a suitable phrase to put on the shirt, something more subtle than "arts rox!" but less depressing than "but colourless. colourless." at least its another thing finished, but as all these things start ending im faced with nothing but a levels. start ending. ending. end.

i think colours are so gaudy by themselves. like if you just have red, its WHOA! but if its red and blue, its not so bad, and if its red and green you get christmas. i dont like christmas. i was thinking yesterday about how little im looking forward to christmas. and since im going to australia, i'll have to endure all the GOHARVEYGOHARVEY commercial jingles as well as the additional christmas jingles. the horror! australia is jingle country. and christmas decorations, oh the christmas decorations. and "we wish you a merry christmas" playing on every store pa system from november to january. we should write a christmas song that is very very very complicated, and goes on for hours ala ctcouncilinvestiture, so at least everytime you walk into a store you'll get to listen to a part you've never heard before. perhaps it could recount the entire history of lee kuan yew or a similar so-old-its-unnatural person that no one really knows much about. oh, but then i suppose it wouldnt really be about christmas. sigh. christmas is inevitable. i love the day christmas, but i dont like what leads up to it. as if you have to be surrounded by christmasy things or you'll forget its christmas. oh well. we're all quite stupid anyway. you can make as many christmas feel-good family movies as you want, but i dont think we've really gotten past the christmas=letsgoseethelightsatorchardroad yet.
